The Design Process
This can vary to your garden and needs but generally follows this path.
Initial Visit
An initial consultation costs £200 within a 50 mile radius. The aim is to determine what you want from your garden, to get to know you, your garden, your needs and your vision. A clear and relaxed discussion about budget, timelines and what service best meets your requirements. A brief, image sheet and design quote will be emailed to you. If you proceed to a design, the consultation fee is taken off the design quote.
Site Survey and Analysis
We need an accurate survey of the garden, this will show the boundaries, the footprint of the house, existing features and levels. Depending on the size and complexity of the garden, the site survey will either be done by myself or a land surveyor.

Concept Plan
To make sure we are on the right track, a concept plan will be produced. This will be an aerial plan with 3D images, either hand drawn or by computer and aided by visuals.
Final Design
Once we have finalised all amendments the final design will be presented with a specification of works and any construction drawings necessary for garden features and hard landscaping. A setting out plan is an important document which also accompanies the final design, a landscape contractor will build his quote from this and set out the design when building.

Planting Plan and Schedule
This drawing will indicate the position of all plants, showing quantity and plant species. The planting schedule will show the full Latin names, size and quantities. This will be used for pricing, ordering and setting out.

Lighting Plan
This is drawn up showing the positioning of the lights and the type of lights to use in creating the right mood/light. I work closely with a lighting specialist who can advise and provide you with the very best in lighting products for longevity and style.
Garden Management
A garden is a constantly changing environment, so seasonal follow up visits may be required to enhance your beautiful garden.
Garden Alteration
You may not require a full garden design, an area of the garden may just look a little neglected or tired. With careful consideration to plants, features and maybe hard landscaping this part of the garden could be the jewel in the crown.
